He entered priesthood while still a boy and studied at the Yakushiji Temple in Yamato (Nara Prefecture).
Career
Later he was ordained by Priest Tokko. Travelling far and wide, he built roads and bridges and taught the people to dig large ponds and build dams and banks. The masses admired and trusted him greatly.
