Honourable Secretary to the Interprovincial Conference of Governments at Quebec, 1887.
Was twice elected by a unanimous vote Speaker of the Ontario Legislature. Assistant Clerk of the Senate.
Member of the Ontario Government in 1905. Being the first French-Canadian who sat in the Executive Council of the Province of Ontario.
