Admitted to Resident Advisor Schools, 1882, after twelve months’ study at the Saint John's Wood Art Schools. Second term, 1885. First picture exhibited at Royal Society of British Artists about 1884. First at Resident Advisor, The Track of the Whirlwind, 1889.
First large and important work on the line at Resident Advisor, November 1892.
This picture afterwards received the second award at the Tasmanian International Exhibition, 1894. First sent watercolour to Resident Advisor—Responsibility—hung in centre on the line, 1902.
Much of his time occupied in teaching between 1892 and 1899, during which period he was one of the Principals of the Saint John's Wood Art Schools. Has done a quantity of modelling and designing for decorative purposes.
His subjects comprise landscape and figures, pure landscape, figures, interiors, and dogs, a few portraits and general black and white work.
