He performed in the palace at the age of 112 in 835 and again in 836.
Another historical document says he went to China as a member of the suite of an envoy to the court of the Tang Dynasty (836) and returned (839) after studying Chinese dances.
In the reign of Empress Regnant Koken, he revised many old dance numbers and added new numbers to the traditional repertoire.
On the occasion of the Daijoe festival (834), he performed, three new dances, Jusuiraku, Kanaho and Otenraku.
