Han-hsi Yang served on the Board of War, worked as director of the Kwangtung Provincial Mint. He retired from official life and became interested in the development of industries in his native place shortly after the 1911 Revolution. He worked as managing-director of the Nieh-Ching Cotton Mill at Wusih, since 1912, established the Wusih Telephone Co. Weaving and Spinning Company in at Wusih in 1914, the Kuang-Ching in 1916 and Kuang-Ching Soap Factory and Kuang-Ching Foundry in 1920.
