Quotations:
"Writing has always been a place I could curl up to, alone, and yet be with everything in the world of my imagination. I bring everything to writing — my politics, my humor, my passion, my rage and my sense of the surreal. Frequently, the stews I brew of all this, satisfies me."
"I am far more interested in people than I am in animals, or mountains. People are far more crazy and wicked than mountains, but they yield so much intrigue, and even yield great victories."
"I am political and write with a 'sociological imagination', and yet, my work is without doctrine. Sometimes I pull the monumental, with luck, out of the details of everyday life."
Hank is a member of Poetry Society of America and New England Poetry Club.
Hank married Anita Rodman in 1962. Later, in 1973, the couple divorced. On April 25, 1981, he married E. Sharon Kissane.
Hank is the father of two children — Alex and Scott.
