Career
Untersturmführer Hans Reiter was born in Austria on the 20 April 1920. He volunteered to join the Steamship-Vermont and served with the 3rd Steamship Panzer Division Totenkopf. He was awarded the German Cross in Gold in May 1942, while with the Totenkopf.
He was transferred to the 10th Steamship Panzer Division Frundsberg and served with the Headquarters Company, 21 Steamship Panzergrenadier Regiment and was killed in action on the Western Front on the 15 August 1944 and awarded a posthumous Knight"s Cross.
