Career
Degree in 1964 and became a specialist in psychiatry in 1975. When not involved in politics full-time, he worked as a psychiatrist. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Hordaland in 1977, and was re-elected on one occasion.
He was the chairman of Noregs Mållag from 1965 to 1970.
Membership
Tungesvik was a member of Kvinnherad municipality council from 1967 to 1969 and Etne municipality council from 1971 to 1975.
