Hans Gosta Rosling, Swedish medical researcher. Achievements include extensive toxico-nutritional epidemiological studies in Africa identifying a new motor neuron disease named konzo; research in the role of the cyanogenesis of the staple crop cassava in African food and farming systems; development of under- and post-graduate courses in global health development.
