Harirao Jeewan Arnikar

Background

Harirao Arnikar was born on 1912, 15 July in Kalahista, the temple, that is located near the pilgrimage town of Tirupati in India

Education

In 1950 Arnikar Harirao graduated from Banaras Hindu University and obtained Ph.D. Later in 1958 Harirao graduated from Paris State Univesity and became D.Sc.Whily studying there he did a research in radio chemistry.

Career

Arkinar Harirao became a pro­fessor and head of chemistry department at the University of Poona. He was also a member of Societe Chimique de France, Indian Chemical Society, Indian Science Congress Association.

Achievements

• On the topic of electrochemistry of gases he wrote and published about 50 research papers.
