Hathaway, Harle Wallace was born on October 24, 1866 in Norwalk, Ohio, United States. Son of Israel Wister (Doctor of Divinity) and Lucy Brownell (Fay) H.

Education

Bachelor of Arts, Princeton, 1890 (class poet, commencement orator). A.M., 1894; graduate Princeton Theological Seminary, 1894.

Career

Ordained Presbyterian ministry, 1894. Pastor Madison Avenue Church, Elizabeth, New Jersey, 1894-1903. Mercantile business several years.

Minister Eastminster Chapel, Germantown, Philadelphia, 1907-1910. Pastor Covenant Church, Germantown, 1911-1925. Became executive secretary Presbytery of Philadelphia North, 1925, established six new Presbyterian churches in the bounds of Presbytery, honorably retired, October 1, 1938.
