Career
He was Private Secretary to the Duke of York 1933–1936, and Deputy Comptroller in 1936. When the Duke became King, Campbell was appointed to his Household as an Equerry and Groom of the Robes 1937–1954. From 1954 until his death Campbell was Extra Equerry.
Campbell was made a Defence Science Organisation in 1918.
He was made a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order in 1935, promoted to Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order on 2 June 1943. and to Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order on 16 November 1953.
