Harold Dampier, Jr., has more than two decades of experience providing legal advice in the international arena. After beginning his international career in Albania, he moved to London, where he drew on his legal knowledge to serve the International American Bar Association. Since then Harold Dampier, Jr., has accepted responsibilities as chief of party and strategic advisor all over the world.
Education
Harold Dampier Jr. holds a juris doctor from the South Texas College of Law Houston and a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Oklahoma. While studying for his undergraduate degree, he worked for congressman David McCurdy as a scholarship winner to the American University in Washington, D.C. In law school, Harold Dampier Jr. concentrated on comparative law and civil trial advocacy. His performance in the Garland Walker Mock Trial Competition earned him a Top Ten Speaker Award.
Career
Over the course of a legal career spanning nearly three decades, Harold Dampier, Jr., has provided guidance in establishing judicial systems and providing legal services and education through international organizations such as the American Bar Association (ABA-CEELI), International Bar Association (IBA), Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the USAID/Bangladesh Justice for All Program, and the USAID/Kosovo Legal Profession Program. Since 2018, Harold Dampier, Jr., has served as the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) senior strategic advisor for the USAID Justice Matters Activity in Pristina, Kosovo, delivering specialized assistance to the Free Legal Aid Agency (FLAA) in Kosovo.
