From 1986 to 1989, he was head coach at Molde alongside Åge Hareide. Under their command, Molde finished 2nd in 1987, 3rd in 1988 and lost the 1989 Cup Final. He was also the head coach of Træff in 1995, and later on Malmefjorden and Fræna.
