Keighley converted from rugby union to rugby league on 14 July 1900, Myers elected to stay with the club and consequently was banned by the Rugby Football Union from all contact with the sport. Other notable appearances
Harry Myers played, and scored a try in The Rest"s 5-7 defeat by Leeds in the 1901-1902 Yorkshire Senior Competition Champions versus The Rest match at Headingley Stadium on Saturday 19 April 1902. Harry Myers died on 19 December 1906 from injuries sustained from a collision on the field of play a month earlier while captaining Keighley against Dewsbury.
His funeral cortège was watched by 10,000 people as it passed through Keighley.
