Harry Wilson received a Master of Fine Arts in 1970 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1966 from the San Francisco Art Institute.
Since 1971 Harry Wilson has been a photography professor at Bakersfield College in California. Previously he was a photography instructor at the University of California Extension in Berkeley (1971) and at the San Francisco Photography Center (1966-1971). Since 1970 his themes have been the tourist landscape and the man-altered landscape. Prior to that, his themes were a spoof of the snapshot/family album (1969-1974), and the social landscape (1965-1969).
