Began with machine shop, Dayton, 1897. In charge Lindsey-Russell Axle Company, Indianapolis, Indiana, 1903, later with G. & J. Tire Company and sales engineer Schebler Carburetor Company. Designed the American car.
Engineer and factory manager Marion Motor Car Company, 1906-1910. Associate with Henry Campbell in Stutz Auto Parts Company, and in 1911 the Ideal Motor Car Company was organized to manufacturer the Stutz Car, the two companies consolidated in 1913 to form the Stutz Motor Car Company, of which was president. Sold out, 1919, and associate with Mr.
Campbell in the H.C.S. Motor Car Company, of which is president.
Mason. Made a notable collection of guns.
