Graduated from Kyushu University (1930).
Career
Noted for his researches on heredity arid breeding of silk-worms. After serving as director of Maebashi Branch of Sericultural Experiment Station of Agricultural and Forestry Ministry was appointed to present post as director of Matsumoto Branch of same experiment station; received degree (1940). Conducted careful and minute researches on roles of Z and W chromosome in sex determination of chromosome, bringing to light mystery of organization of sex determination.
