Zoologist. Especially known for study of Crustacea. Doctor :if Science. Born in Ibaraki Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo University (1931). After serving as professor of Urawa Higher School, appointed professor of the Liberal Arts Department of the abovt university. Received scholarship funds from the Imperial Academy, the Japan Academic Association and the Ministry of Education for biochemical research of Crustacea. Books : "The Phenomenon of Life," "Principle of Zoology" and "Theories and Practice of Education."
