Barsamian, Harut was born on August 21, 1933 in Aleppo, Syria. Son of Sahag Barsamiam and Mayrene Elanjian.


Doctor of Philosophy, Academy of Sciences, Moscow, 1966. Graduate, Polytechnic Institute, Yerevan, Armenia, 1956.


Senior researcher, lecturer Polytechnic Institute, Yerevan, 1956—1966. Principal engineer Raytheon Company, Santa Ana, California, 1967—1969. Head advanced studies department NCR Corporation, San Diego, 1969—1977.

Director advanced system Sperry Univac, Irvine, 1977—1984. Professor electrical engineering and computer science University California, since 1984. Owner, principal Artificial Intelligence Technology, Mission Viejo, California, since 1984.
