Harvey graduated (barely) from Eau Gallic High school, Melbourne in 1966. Over the next 20 years obtained MA from Webster Univ, MSM from Regis Univ, and MSEM from Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

One son. Commissioned in US Army as LT and medically retired. Employed by Us Govt. Married To Pharmacy doctor employed hospital setting.
