Career
Buckley was a quarterback for the Wesleyan Battling Bishops football program from 1949 through the 1951 season. As of 2009, he still holds the school record for the longest pass play of all time at 91 yards. Buckley was the head college football coach for the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets located in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.
He held that position for 10 seasons, from 1973 until 1982.
