He finished primary school.
After finishing primary school, worked for his family's transport business and then entered the employ of Morinaga Confectionery Company in Osaka.
He became interested in labor problems and after becoming a member of Hokufiikai (socialists association) founded a miner's union (1919). For translating and publishing Kropotkin's "Law and Authority" was punished (1920). The following year again was arrested for assisting the Ashia miners strike and was sentenced to four months in jail (1921). The same year he left for Russia and returning home the following year was shot to death by Yonemura for his Bolshevik sentiments.
