Career

At one time director of the Lamoureux and Colonne Concerts of Paris, and the orchestras of La Monaie (Brussels), Musical Syndicat (Barcelona), Symphonic Society (Poland), Wagnerian Society, Colón Opera and Odean Theatre (Buenos Aires), Municipal Theatre (Rio de Janeiro), Philharmonic Society (Sâo Paulo), Société Amérique-Latine (Paris, 1924), etc. Director of the Villa-Lobos Orchestra (organized in Rio de Janeiro, 1933, by 80 of the most prominent music teachers in Brazil). At present superintendent of musical and artistic education in the Department of Education, and artistic director of the “Orfeao de Professores,” of the Federal District.

Representative in Brazil of the School of Fine Arts of Paris, of the Galliéra Museum of Paris.
