Admitted to Wisconsin bar, 1879, becoming law partner of preceptor.

Career

With legal department C.,M.&St.P.Ry. since 1880, assistant general solicitor, 1887-1905, general counsel Puget Sound Lines at Seattle, Washington, 1905-1912, general solicitor entire system, 1912-1922, general counsel since October 15, 1922.
