Hematram is a professor in the Community Medicine Division at the MAHSA University, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Prior to this appointment, he was International Medical University (IMU) as head of the Community Medicine Division and earlier to that in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine in University Malaya (UM). He joined University Malaya after serving as Director of Family Health Development Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia
Hematram was born in 1944 in Malaysia.
Hematram educated in Malaysia before he went to India and completed his Medical degree(MBBS). He came back to Malaysia and did his Masters in Public Health (MPH) in University Malaya and then further did MBA (Healthcare) In Boston University.
Hematram Yadav served the Ministry of Health in various capacities and finally as the director of family Health development division Ministry of Health Malaysia. He served as WHO/UNICEF/Indevelop consultant in several countries in the Western Pacific Region. He has over 100 publications in both local and International Journals he also has written several books and has served as external examiner to several universities. During his service, I have received several awards both local and Internationally.
