Pander, Hendrik Pieter was born on November 21, 1937 in Haarlem, Netherlands. Came to the United States, 1965. Son of Jacob and Henderica (Smedes) Pander.


Certified completion, Rijksacademie van Beeldende, Amsterdam, 1961.


Co-founder, board member Storefront Theatre, Portland, 1970-1987. Founder, member selection committee Visual Chronicle Portland, 1985-1991. Commissioner Metropolitan Arts Commission, Portland, 1992-1993, member public art advisory committee, 1993-1996.
