Meyer holds an Master of Arts in British and European Politics and Government, a Doctor of Philosophy in Comparative Politics, an Executive Master of Business Administration and an Master of Science in Financial Economics from different London universities.
He is Editor-in-Chief of Social Europe, Director of the network consultancy New Global Strategy, and a Research Associate of the Public Policy Group at the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of arts, commerce and manufacture (Republic of South Africa ). Meyer was previously a Senior Visiting Fellow at London School of Economics"s Government Department, Head of the European programme at the Global Policy Institute at London Metropolitan University and a Visiting Fellow at the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. Meyer is a frequent contributor to academic and mainstream publications such as The Guardian and DIE ZEIT online.
He is also a regular television commentator on political and economic issues on news channels such as British Broadcasting Corporation News, Sky News, Consumer News and Business Channel, First Rate (at Lloyd's) Jazeera International, France 24 and Business School Broadcasting Group Australia.
