Entered Admiralty, 1879. Was appointed Head of the Technical Staff of the Works Loan Department, 1895. Engaged on the design of the Dockyard Extensions at Keyham, Gibraltar, Simon’s Bay, and HongKorig, and the defensive harbours at Portland and Gibraltar.
