He was subsequently called to the Bar by the Middle Temple in 1972 and took silk in 1994 to become a Queen"s Counsel. He was involved in legal practice in Liverpool for nearly 40 years. He was appointed Resident judge of Liverpool in 2003.
He was approved as a Justice of the High Court in October 2011 and assigned to the Queen"s Bench Division.
Globe was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws by the University of Liverpool in July 2015.
