Career

Taught school several terms. Company surveyor, Fulton Company, 1885-1887. Editor public Rochester Sentinel, 35 years.

President Rochester Telephone Сompany, since 1896. President National Telephone Association, 1901-1903. Director Northern Indiana Prison, Michigan City, 1893-1896.

Trustee Hospital for the Insane, Longcliff. Elected to 60th Congress for unexpired term (1908-1909). Reëlected 61st to 65th Congresses (1909-1919), 13th Indiana District.
