Nile Campaign, 1SS4-85, in the Mounted Infantry of the Camel Corps, present reconnaissance to Gakdul Wells, at the battles of Abu Klea and Gubat, and the second Abu Klea (dangerously wounded, despatches, medal with two clasps, bronze star, brevet of Major).
