Began as secretary, 1893, secretary, treasurer and general manager, 1897-1921, president and general manager, since 1921, also director, since 1901, Rhode Island Electric Protective Company (public service electric, fire and burglar alarm office and standard time system). Devised comprehensive plans and started movement, 1901, for present metropolitan park system of greater Providence district, and from its official beginning, 1905, until April 1920, was secretary and Executive officer of the Metropolitan Park communications of Providence Plantations. Chairman Providence City Plan Commission.
