Entered Royal Navy, 1864. Gained £100 Scholarship at Greenwich, 1877, etc. Served in West Indies, N. America, Mediterranean, China, Cape, India, West Coast of Africa, Australia, etc.
Served with Naval Brigade in Natal. Served at Admiralty and at Ordnance Committee, and is a Deputy Commissioner of the Western Pacific. 7th Baronet; cartulary-register 1816; Captain Royal Navy (retired).
