Conrad, Henry Clay was born on April 25, 1852 in Bridesburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Son of Aaron and Sarah Walker (Pennypacker) Conrad.

Educated Reynolds Classical Academy, Wilmington, Delaware. Bachelor of Laws, Harvard, 1873.

Career

H. Croskey Allen), Rachel L. (Mistress Walter T. Baker). Admitted to bar, 1874 and practiced at Wilmington. President of the board of education, Wilmington, 1880-1882.

President city council, 1882-1885. Republican nominee for mayor, 1885. City solicitor, 1897-1901.

Postmaster, 1906-1909. Associate judge Supreme Court of Delaware, term 1909-1921.
