Chairman of the Board Peoples Savings Bank. Chairman Board of Navigation and Pilotage of Cape Fear River. Commissioner of sinking fund, Wilmington, many years.

President Produce Exchange, Wilmington. Chairman Wilmington Chapter American Red Cross, 1917-1918.
