Held minor positions on various rys., 1878-1888. Commercial agent Saint Louis Southwestern Railway System, 1888. Held various positions therewith, finally becoming vice president in charge of freight traffic, 1912-1915.

Also vice-president and director Saint Louis Southwestern Railway Company of Texas to November 5, 1915.

President Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railway Company Vice-President West Side Belt Railroad Company, Pittsburgh, April 1, since 1917.
