Henry George Weisser was born on May 21, 1935 in New York City, New York, United States; the son of Reginald Jacob Weisser and Katherine Caroline (Oetter) Weisser.
Henry Weisser received a Bachelor of Arts from Hartwick College in 1957. In a year he got a Master of Arts from Columbia University. Henry also holds a Doctor of Philosophy.
Henry Weisser began his career as a teacher at Robert Louis Stevenson School in 1960. In a year he was appointed as a teacher at East Brunswick (New Jersey) High School. From 1962 to 1964 Henry was an instructor in history at Luther College. For ten years Weisser served as an assistant professor of history at Colorado State University, becoming a professor of history in 1975.
He is a contributor of articles and other works to periodicals, including Polish Review, Rocky Mountain Social Science Journal, Historical Journal, British Studies Monitor, Technos: Journal of the International Division of the American Society for Engineering Education, Albion, Newsletter of the Western Association of Africanists, Africa Today, and British Studies Intelligencer; and to books, including The Biographical Dictionary of Modern British Radicals, Volume 2, Great Events from History: European Series, and Encyclopedia of Protest Movements.
In 1975 Henry Weisser published his first book British Working-Class Movements and Europe. His latest book Wales: An Illustrated History was published in 2002.
