Early life on farm; engineer for Harrisburg Car Company, 1886-1888. Accompanied American Engineering Society on trip to England and Paris Exposition, 1899. Connected with the Thomson-Houston Elec.
Company, 1889, and in 1894, took charge of designs of alternating current machinery for General Electric Company. Since then has designed much of the most important electrical machinery in this country and abroad. Now retired.
