Appointed justice Supreme Court of Utah Ty., November 1895. When Utah was admitted as a state, January 1, 1896, was elected judge 2d Judicial District, Utah, serving until January 1, 1905. Regent University of Utah, 1908-1914, and since 1925.

President Securities Corporation, Los Angeles. Director Amalgamated Sugar Company Treasurer United States Food Administration Sugar Distributing Committee.
