Henry James Stuart - Richardson. Viscount Stuart, 1793. Barony, 1619; Baronetcy, 1628.
[ Robert Stuart, 3rd son of Robert 11. King of Scotland, was created Duke of Albany by Robert and was afterwards Regent of Scotland. Murdoch, 2nd Duke, was arrested by James I., his title and estates forfeited, and was afterwards beheaded.
His descendant was created by James I. Lord Avondale, and his grandson Lord Ochiltrie. The 3rd Lord Ochiltrie being in pecuniary embarrassment, sold his title to Sir James Stuart, of Killoch, but was created in 1619 Lord Castlestuart (Peerage of Ireland), by James VI. J.
