Wolf, Henry John was born on February 6, 1881 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Son of Henry John and Emma Regina (Goldbeck) Wolf.

Began as assayer and chemist San Miguel Consolidated Gold Mining Company Colorado, 1902, later mining engineer same and for other corporations.
