a+u: Architecture and Urbanism 1989 September Special Edition - The Potential House: Three Centuries of American Dwelling by Henry Plummer records the third American architecture observation tour in 1988, sponsored by the Otis Elevator Cultural Committee. This Committee's architecture tours have focused on vital issues in American architecture such as American housing and American Art Deco. Twenty-five house are featured in this issue of a+u, with color photographs for all and numerous section, site, and floor plans for many.
