Graduated from Harvard, 1854. Served on admiral’s staff, N. Atlantic squadron, United States Navy, 2 years, during Civil War.
Practiced in Boston about 20 years. Removed to Kansas City, 1887. Architect of numerous buildings connected with Harvard, and of public libraries and other public buildings throughout United States, business blocks, private houses, railroad buildings, churches, etc.
Also of Electricity Building in Court of Honor, World’s Columbian Exposition, Chicago. Member firm Van Brunt & Howe. Elected, 1898, president American Institute of Architects.
