Herb Alpert, American composer, recording artist, producer, painter. Recipient Lifetime Achievement award, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, 2006. Founder Herb Alpert Foundation; Member of California Horse Racing Board.


Alpert, Herb was born on March 31, 1935 in Los Angeles, California, United States. Son of Louis and Tillie (Goldberg) Alpert.


Co-owner, founder Agricultural and Mechanical Record Company, 1962-1994, Rondor Music International, since 1994.
