He entered Columbia University where in 1899 he was graduated in Architecture, and subsequently completed his training in Paris.
Appointed architect of the State Bank of New York and all its branches in 1904, he served over a period of twenty years in that capacity, also designed His work in New York included the State Bank and all of its branches, 1904-24; the American Trade Bank, 1921;
the First National Bank of Garfield, New Jersey, 1910. In addition he planned a number of suburban residences in the state.
In 1911 he became a member of the American Institute of Architects, and he also belonged to the Beaux-Arts Society.
