Career

Began in investment business, Kansas City, Missoury, July 1, 1887. President Kansas Gas & Electric Company from its organization, 1909 to 1933, Chairman of the Board since 1933. A founder, 1901, and since director Kansas City Life Insurance Company, also member Executive Committee.

Director Kansas City Power & Light Company, Safety Federal Savings & Loan Association For many years director St. Louis & San Francisco Railway, now also member Executive Committee. Largely instrumental in organizing the Sinclair Oil Corporation, Loose-Wiles Biscuit Company, American Power & Light Company, Cook Paint & Varnish Company, Sheffield Steel Company, Kansas Gas & Elec. Company, and other corporations.

Served as; member Chamber of Commerce, S.R. (past president Missouri Society), Sigma Chi. Former trustee Northwestern University and Baker U. Clubs: Kansas City, University, Blue Hills Golf, Rotary.
