Entered father’s saddlery factory, 1898, became vice president when business was incorporated as The West. H. Hoover Company, 1903. An organizer, with father and others, Electric Suction Sweeper Company (which immediately began production of Model O Hoover cleaners), 1908, general manager, 1908-1922. President The Hoover Company, 1922-1948, chairman of board, since 1948.

Director Harter Bank & Trust Company Director Canton (O.) Welfare Federation Chairman board Community Christian Church.
