Studied at The Priory School, Islington. Articled pupil to South. South. Teulon, architect, 1869-1871. Clerkship in Meteorological Office, 1872 - 73.
Architectural Department of War Office at Horse Guards, 1874.
To Zanzibar as lay worker, 1875. Resided in Zanzibar for two and a half years, assisting in school-work and printing.
Career
Made Reader this year. Ordained Sub-Deacon,1876. Deacon, 1878; sent to work at Magila in Usambara district on mainland.
Studied at Saint Stephen’s House, Oxford, 1881-1882.
Ordained Priest at Cuddesdon, 1882. In charge of Magila, 1883-1886.
Misozwe, 1886-1889. Magila, 1889 to present day.
Entered Society of the Sacred Mission 1894. Society of the Sacred Mission. Archdeacon of Magi la since 1899.
