Background

Herman Barth was born in 1868.

Career

He was known as the architect of several public buildings, including the South Wing of the San Francisco City and County Hospital, and in addition designed the Masonic Lodge at Richmond, Calif. Mr. Barth maintained an office in the Phelan Building for many years.
